The company Tierra Brava LLC, started in Cuba in 1961, influenced by my ancestors who were musicians. My father, Francisco Ramírez Martínez, was Director of the Musical Group “Soy del Turquino” in the Province of Granma, Cuba (Municipality Bartolomé Masó), It comes from our family roots where my paternal uncles were ensemble musicians as well, Traditional music was cultivated Cubana (Son Montuno, Guaracha, El Cha-cha-chá, the typical music of the fields of Cuba (El Punto Cubano,) la Rumba, Guaguancó, Afro-Cuban music, etc.
Wrapped in a musical, artistic and cultural environment my brother (Anderlay Ramírez) and I (Frank Ramírez Denis), we follow the traditional family legacy, taking as a badge to maintain and preserve traditional Cuban music to different parts of the world throughout history .
Our Company is conceived both for the National and foreign public and to a greater extent its Artistic Catalog, where several of the Cuban musical rhythms that marked times in the course of our vast musical history are recreated, will be presented at a National and International level. The show takes a tour of the most native rhythms of all the cities of our Island, taking the spectator from well-known rhythms such as the Son and the Cha-cha-cha to rhythms that have been somewhat more forgotten like the Son Montuno and the Sucu-sucu.
In 2004, after a Festival in the Hicacos Peninsula in Varadero, Cuba came up with the idea of establishing a Company named “Tierra Brava” in the city of Panama, thus promoting the artistic talent of the Island of Cuba towards that Destination in the field of the Development Culture of that brother country. In June 2015, after an extensive tour of Hotels, Casinos, Games Rooms, Festivals, Carnivals and Events, we decided to move to the United States of America to give continuity to the Cuban Culture.
In 2016, the headquarters of the company “Tierra Brava” was created in Houston, Texas, United States of America, bringing with it a range of activities throughout this great country of opportunities for the Development of Cuban Culture and of the World, with the initiative, participation and support of the Engineer Mrs. Adela Acosta Vaillant who is today an active part of the Company and Owner as well as Mr. Frank Ramírez Denis.
